High‑strength lifting chain | G80/G100 alloy steel hoisting chain, specially designed for complete rigging sets

High‑strength alloy steel lifting short‑link chains are available in two major grades—G80 and G100—and are manufactured in strict compliance with the international standards GB/T 24816 and EN 818‑2. Made from premium alloy steel and produced using fully automated welding and comprehensive quenching‑and‑tempering heat treatment, these chains feature uniform welds and consistently high strength. They serve as essential core components for industrial lifting, heavy‑load rigging, and chain‑rigging assembly, and can be combined with hooks, shackles, lifting eyes, and master‑slave links to form single‑leg, double‑leg, triple‑leg, or quadruple‑leg complete chain slings, suitable for a wide range of lifting applications.

G80-grade lifting chain (industry‑standard grade)

  • Material: High-strength alloy steel, fully quenched and tempered, with a minimum tensile strength of 800 MPa.
  • Safety factor of 4:1, excellent cost-effectiveness, and high versatility.
  • Applications: factory lifting, steel structures, equipment handling, hoist integration, and standard rigging hardware.

G100-grade lifting chain (high-end heavy-duty grade)

  • At the same chain diameter, the rated load is 25% higher than that of G80, with a lighter self-weight and superior wear resistance and fatigue strength.
  • Minimum tensile strength: 1000 MPa; safety factor: 4:1; suitable for demanding heavy-load applications.
  • Applications: wind power, ports, heavy industry, lifting of large equipment, and high‑load projects.

Core Product Features

Reliable material Forged from alloy steel, with a full heat‑treatment process, the chain links exhibit excellent toughness, resist brittle fracture, and withstand repeated cyclic loading.

Welding process: Fully automated closed-loop welding, producing welds that are full and uniform, with dimensional tolerances meeting the relevant standards.

Surface treatments: options include blackening, electrophoretic coating, powder coating, hot-dip galvanizing, and electro-galvanizing; offering excellent rust resistance and wear durability.

Traceability Marking: Each link is clearly stamped with its grade designation, and every batch of products is accompanied by a factory‑issued test report and a certificate of conformity.

Flexible customization: Cut to length upon request, supports complete rigging assemblies, and can be paired with hooks, adjustment rings, shackles, and other accessories, offering comprehensive single‑, two‑, three‑, or four‑leg chain slings solutions.

Temperature adaptability: Typically operates from –40°C to 200°C, meeting the requirements of most industrial environments.

Application areas

Widely used in Mechanical manufacturing, steel structure engineering, wind power industry, port logistics, mining, construction, mold-making plants, shipyards, and equipment maintenance. etc.; compatible with hand chain hoists, electric hoists, overhead traveling cranes, heavy‑load lashing and securing, as well as equipment lifting and handling operations.

Technical Implementation Standard

  • Domestic Standard: GB/T 24816‑2017 “Short-Link Chains for Lifting”
  • European Standard: EN 818‑2, Standard for Lifting Short-Link Chains
  • Supports CE and third-party tensile testing; test certificates are available.

Precautions for Use

  • Overloading is strictly prohibited; operations must be conducted in strict accordance with the rated working load. For multi-leg slings, the reduction in load capacity due to the lifting angle must be taken into account.
  • Do not bend or knot the chain, nor allow it to come into direct contact with sharp edges; install corner guards as necessary.
  • Before use, inspect for cracks, deformation, wear, and corrosion; if any damage exceeds the allowable limits, discontinue use.
  • Avoid prolonged use in high-temperature or highly corrosive environments; do not drop or impact the chain.
  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated environment and take appropriate measures to prevent rust.

Optional configuration

Available for assembly as a complete set: master‑slave shackles, adjustable hooks, clevis hooks, swivel hooks, shackles, and chain protectors. Customized complete chain rigging sets can be manufactured according to customer drawings and operating conditions.
